đź’– Spreading Wings of Support - Our Brand Events Over the Past Few đź’–Â Â
With the help of so many influential brands and companies, Penny’s Flight Foundation has managed to spread awareness for patients of NF in such a unique way. The NF warriors out there now know they are part of a large and loving community, as they are given a voice through a powerful movement. The collaborations that the foundation has are not just to develop clothing lines, but they are also advocating for the empowerment of those with NF. With these events and collaborations that reach a large audience, so many people finally feel seen. We can raise awareness and also empower our NF warriors to continue spreading joy and light throughout the world, continuing what Penny started!
Our Roller Rabbit collaboration launched in late March and set off an electric wave of positivity throughout the community as people everywhere were able to purchase the Flutter Pajama Collection, and part of the proceeds would go to support Penny’s Flight Foundation. Â
These pajamas carried the legacy of Penny as they showed how much joy we can put into the world, and there is so much hope for the future. The Flutter Pajama Collection was a smashing success and helped bring the foundation one step closer to changing the future for all those living with this genetic condition.Â
Then, this April, Veronica Beard helped support our mission as well as they participated in #VBGivesBack this April and collaborated with our team at PFF!Â
Our amazing community came together to show their support at the Veronica Beard stores all over! Kate Deorge was joined by Norah O’Donnell, a CBS News senior correspondent, at the Georgetown store for a fireside chat. These empowering women continued the conversation about NF1 and the mission of Penny’s Flight Foundation. During this chat, Kate stressed the importance and urgency of spreading awareness in order to find a cure. She remarked during the conversation, “It really comes down to awareness and educating the public about the need for funding”.Â

Love Shack Fancy wanted to team up for a collaboration as well in order to further promote awareness and continue to add funds to the foundation. We had two store events in Connecticut where people gathered to contribute to the mission of Penny’s Flight. Proceeds from such events contribute to funding cutting-edge research and programs aimed at improving the lives of those affected by NF. But more than just funding, these collaborations with influential brands has deeper levels of meaning as people and families affected by neurofibromatosis can find themselves being represented and feel seen by popular stores.
These events foster a network of supporters, including families, friends, and advocates, who can share experiences, offer support, and collaborate on future initiatives. This sense of community is vital for those affected by NF and their families.
